Already have a Binance Wallet? You can still enter a referral code — the official 3-step way
Binance’s official Wallet Referral FAQ is explicit: existing users can bind a referral code, as long as they have never bound one before. Here are the exact website and App steps, plus the four things to know first — one code only, no changes after binding, and it is separate from the Binance Exchange referral program.

Already have a Binance Wallet? You can still enter a referral code — here's the official 3-step way
Short answer: Yes. Binance's own Wallet Referral FAQ says existing users can bind a referral code as long as they have never bound one before. But you get exactly one shot — once a code is bound, it cannot be changed.
This guide follows the official wording for both the website and the App, and puts the four things you should know before binding right at the top. Every number and button name below comes from Binance's Frequently Asked Questions on Binance Wallet Referral Program (published 2025-09-01, last updated 2026-04-13).
First, work out which case you're in — the steps are completely different
Most people assume that clicking a referral link is enough. It depends on whether you are a new user:
| Your situation | What actually happens | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| No Binance Wallet yet | After you register through the link, a pop-up with the referral ID appears automatically | Click [Confirm] and you're done |
| Existing wallet, never bound a code | Clicking the link does nothing visible | Enter the code manually (below) |
| Existing wallet, already bound a code | — | Binance does not allow changes; this guide can't help |
The second case is the one that quietly gets missed. The link appears to do nothing, so most people assume there was nothing to do. The link isn't broken — this is by design. Existing accounts don't get the pop-up, so you have to enter the code yourself.
On the website: three steps
- Log in to your Binance Wallet account on Binance Wallet.
- Go to [Referral] at the top, then click on [Enter Referral Code].
- Enter the referral code
REBATEDEXand choose [Confirm] to bind.
In the App: three steps
- Log in to the Binance App and open Binance Wallet.
- Go to [Referral] on the homepage and tap the [Enter a referral code to get up to 30% off trading fees] banner. Then tap [Join Now].
- Enter the referral code
REBATEDEXand choose [Confirm] to bind.
Four things to know before you bind
1. One code, one time, no changes. Official wording: "Each referee can only bind one referral code" and "Once a code is bound, it cannot be changed." So don't type something in just to see what happens.
2. Only accounts that have never bound a code can do this. Official wording: "existing users can bind a referral code, as long as they have never bound one before." If you are already bound to someone else, Binance provides no way to switch.
3. This has nothing to do with your Binance Exchange referral. This is the one that confuses people most. Binance states plainly that "The Binance Wallet Referral Program is separate from the Binance Referral Program on the Binance Exchange." So even if you registered your Binance account under someone's referral code years ago, your Wallet side is still empty — it has to be bound separately. The reverse is equally true.
4. You may not see the entry point at all. Official wording: "The Referral tab may not appear due to local regulation and rules." If you cannot find the button anywhere, it isn't you and it isn't this guide — it simply isn't available in your region yet.
Where the 30% comes from
The Binance Wallet fee discount is the sum of two parts:
- 10% — the default discount every referee gets, regardless of who referred them;
- 0%–20% — the portion a referrer may choose to share out of their own commission, capped at 20%.
Added together, the real range a referee can receive is 10%–30%. Official wording: "Referees can receive an additional 0 - 20% trading fee discount set by the referrer. The actual discount the referee receives will range from 10% - 30%, which includes a default 10% discount."
We allocate the full 20% to the user, which is why binding with REBATEDEX lands at the ceiling of that rule: 30%. That isn't a marketing claim — it's the maximum the rule allows. Under Binance's own rules nobody can offer a referee more than 30%.
After binding: how rewards actually settle
Also straight from the official FAQ, so there are no surprises:
- T+1 settlement. Rewards are settled and distributed the following day. Data updates daily at 00:00 UTC; settlement typically completes within 6 to 8 hours.
- You must claim manually. Rewards are updated on the Wallet's referral page daily, but they do not land automatically — you have to claim them.
- No expiry, no minimum. Official wording: rewards "can be claimed at any time (T+1). Rewards do not expire." There is no minimum payout threshold.
- You're paid in whatever token paid the fee. If fees were paid in BNB, the reward arrives in BNB.
- Rewards come out of trading fees. Which means the flip side is also true: a trade that generates no fee generates no rebate.
If you plan to use the Binance Wallet browser extension, the official order matters: bind the referral code on the website or App first, then install the extension and log in. Only after that do extension trades count toward the rebate.
FAQ
Q: I clicked the referral link and nothing happened. Is it dead? No. By design, only newly registering users get the automatic pop-up. Existing accounts must enter the code manually, as above.
Q: I already signed up to Binance Exchange with a referral code. Do I still need to bind on the Wallet side? Yes. Binance states these are two separate programs (see point 3 above).
Q: I typed the wrong code. Can I fix it? No. "Once a code is bound, it cannot be changed." That's exactly why it's worth re-reading the box before you hit [Confirm].
Q: Does binding cost anything, or require approving assets? No fee, and it is not a token approval. It only records a referral relationship on your account.
Q: Why is there no [Referral] tab on my page? Binance attributes this to local regulation and rules. There is no workaround we can offer.
Risk and scope
Per Binance's own disclaimer: Binance Wallet is a self-custody crypto wallet that also serves as a digital gateway to third-party blockchain-based applications. The Binance Wallet Services are provided by Binance Barbados Limited and are not under the supervision of the Financial Services Regulatory Authority or any other regulatory authority.
Binance also notes that all fees, rates, and program rules are subject to change, and reserves the right to amend or cancel the program at any time without prior notice. This guide reflects the official wording as of September 2026 — before you act, check what your own Binance Wallet shows you at that moment.
