When you hold some crypto assets but do not intend to trade them frequently, these assets are "idle". Letting idle assets work for you is called passive investing. In the field of cryptocurrency, common paths include staking, liquidity mining, and lending and financing. Binance Earn is the entrance designed by Binance for such needs.

The core advantage of passive investment is peace of mind: you don’t need to keep track of the market, and you don’t need to frequently adjust positions. As long as you deposit assets into the corresponding product, the platform will issue rewards according to the product rules. But worry-free does not mean risk-free. Market fluctuations may cause the value of the underlying asset itself to decline; lock-up products will limit your temporary access to funds; if assets are concentrated in a few currencies, your overall risk will be magnified once these currencies perform poorly.

Binance Financial Management divides its products into two levels: Simple Earn and Advanced Earn. Simple financial management is closer to the "savings account" experience, such as flexible products, fixed-term products, ETH staking, SOL staking and soft staking. It is suitable for beginners who want relatively predictable returns. Advanced financial management includes dual-currency investment, quote request dual-currency investment, smart arbitrage, and on-chain income. These strategies are usually combined with market views and may bring higher returns, but the risk of the principal is also higher.

The way to open Binance Financial Management is very intuitive: first log in to your Binance account and find the "Financial Management" entrance in the top menu. Once logged in, you can see a list of available products, as well as asset status and historical earnings estimates. You can filter by asset type, select a specific product and click Subscribe. Enter the amount when subscribing and confirm the product rules to complete. Flexible products usually allow redemption at any time, while term products require withdrawal after the agreed period.

Ethereum and Solana staking are the more popular liquidity staking methods on Binance Money. When you stake ETH you get WBETH, and when you stake SOL you get BNSOL. These two tokens essentially represent your staked principal plus accumulated rewards. Unlike traditional locked staking, these liquid staking tokens can be transferred or used in external DeFi protocols while continuing to enjoy staking rewards. When you want to exchange for the original assets, you can redeem them at the current exchange ratio. It should be noted that the exchange ratio is not fixed and will change with the accumulation of rewards.

Soft staking is a more hassle-free model suitable for assets that support proof of stake. Binance performs on-chain staking on your behalf, and rewards are issued in native tokens corresponding to the blockchain. You only need to find the soft pledge in Simple Finance and activate it, and rewards will automatically accumulate in the future.

Binance also launched Binance Sharia Earn, a certified Sharia-compliant staking service for Muslim users. This product has passed a special compliance review and follows the principles of no interest, no excessive risk or uncertainty, and no involvement in prohibited areas such as alcohol and gambling. If you need a financial solution that adheres to Islamic finance principles, this option is worth knowing about.

There are also cost details worth checking for yourself before committing to investing money. First, handling fees: Even if the product page is marked "No handling fees", subscription, redemption or on-chain operations may still incur fees, and these fees will directly affect your actual income. Secondly, VIP level: Your Binance VIP level may affect transaction fees, and may also affect the limits or conditions of certain financial products. Third, the rebate mechanism: If you register through an invitation link or participate in a referral program, the specific proportion and settlement method of the rebate may vary depending on the region and activity, and this type of income also needs to be confirmed by yourself. More importantly, the advertised annualized rate of return (APR) is not equal to the actual return. It may be based on historical data or specific assumptions. Please be sure to check the "Product Rules" on each product page to understand terms such as fees, lock-up periods, early redemption restrictions, reward issuance cycles, etc.

No matter which product you choose, be aware of the risks. The relative stability of simple financial management does not mean capital preservation. When the market falls, your underlying assets will still lose money. Advanced financial management may lose part or even all of the principal under extreme market conditions. Lock-up products also prevent you from being able to cash out in time when you need money urgently. Cryptocurrency prices fluctuate wildly, and any deposit decision should be based on your own goals and tolerance.
