As of 2026-10-02, XRPUSDT closed the week at 1.509 USDT, a weekly move of -0.46%. The most discussed topic around XRP was the XRP treasury company Evernorth planning to list on Nasdaq on October 8. The story circulated, the price did not follow, and that gap is the clearest thing to say about XRP this week.
How the eight days actually traded
From September 25 to October 2, XRPUSDT moved down first and then steadied. On September 25 it closed at 1.5677 USDT, a move of 2.2%. On September 26 it closed at 1.5264 USDT, a move of -2.64%. On September 28 it closed at 1.4961 USDT, a move of -1.31%. The next three days hugged the floor: September 29 closed at 1.49 USDT, a move of -0.41%; September 30 closed at 1.4892 USDT, a move of -0.05%; October 1 closed at 1.4937 USDT, a move of 0.31%. October 2 closed at 1.509 USDT, a move of 1.02%, pulling the weekly line back from a worse level.
| Date | open | close | Change |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2026-09-25 | 1.534 USDT | 1.5677 USDT | 2.2% |
| 2026-09-26 | 1.5678 USDT | 1.5264 USDT | -2.64% |
| 2026-09-27 | 1.5265 USDT | 1.5159 USDT | -0.69% |
| 2026-09-28 | 1.5159 USDT | 1.4961 USDT | -1.31% |
| 2026-09-29 | 1.4961 USDT | 1.49 USDT | -0.41% |
| 2026-09-30 | 1.4899 USDT | 1.4892 USDT | -0.05% |
| 2026-10-01 | 1.4891 USDT | 1.4937 USDT | 0.31% |
| 2026-10-02 | 1.4938 USDT | 1.509 USDT | 1.02% |
Six of the eight days closed lower, with declines from -0.05% to -2.64%, while only three days closed higher, the largest at 2.2%. Read across the table, the rhythm is clear: the September 25 candle pushed price to 1.5677 USDT, four down days followed, and only October 1 and October 2 turned green. On the weekly basis, the open was 1.5159 USDT and the latest close was 1.509 USDT, which adds up to -0.46%. The two small green candles narrowed the loss but did not turn the week positive.
Where this week sits in a 200-week sample
XRPUSDT has 200 weekly samples, and 92 weeks were stronger than this one. In other words, this week's -0.46% sits on the weaker side of the sample, with more weeks above it than below it.
| Stronger week | open | close | Change |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2023-07-10 | 0.4678 USDT | 0.7463 USDT | 59.53% |
| 2024-11-11 | 0.5888 USDT | 1.055 USDT | 79.18% |
| 2024-11-25 | 1.4335 USDT | 2.2942 USDT | 60.04% |
| 2026-08-17 | 0.9929 USDT | 1.52 USDT | 53.09% |
| 2024-11-18 | 1.0551 USDT | 1.4334 USDT | 35.85% |
These are among the strongest weeks in the sample. The week of 2024-11-11 moved 79.18%, 2024-11-25 moved 60.04%, 2023-07-10 moved 59.53%, and 2026-08-17 moved 53.09%. Below them sit 2024-11-18 at 35.85%, 2025-07-07 at 24.91%, and 2024-07-08 at 24.03%. Put those numbers next to this week's -0.46% and the distance is not small. The sample also contains weaker weeks, such as 2024-10-07 at -0.34% and 2026-04-06 at -0.15%, but those are the minority.
What the hot posts are saying
Hot posts on the Square argue that Evernorth, an XRP treasury company, planning to list on Nasdaq on October 8 is a rare capital-markets move for the XRP ecosystem and could bring a new narrative catalyst (relayed, not the site's view). Some posts look at this alongside the XRP spot price and argue volatility may widen around the listing date.
To be clear, these are hot-post judgments, not established facts. The chart says something else: the story circulated for a week, XRPUSDT still closed the week down 0.46%, and the October 2 close of 1.509 USDT did not return to the September 25 close of 1.5677 USDT. Narrative and price did not line up this week.
Three honest points
First, gaps are normal in futures. September 25 closed at 1.5677 USDT and September 26 opened at 1.5678 USDT, which looks smooth, but that day closed at 1.5264 USDT, a move of -2.64%. The distance between open and close can be that wide, and anyone holding overnight feels it most.
Second, high leverage magnifies daily swings like these. This week's daily moves ranged from -2.64% to 2.2%, which look small, but futures carry leverage, and the same percentage hits a position differently. If volatility widens around October 8, higher leverage raises the odds of being stopped out.
Third, funding rates and "best weeks" are conclusions in hindsight. The week of 2024-11-11 moved 79.18%, and nobody knew at the time it was among the strongest in the sample; this week's -0.46% is no different in that respect. Holding overnight means paying funding, and if the direction is wrong, funding keeps deducting.
How the fees work
Binance futures default maker fee is 0.02% and default taker fee is 0.05%. The rebate ratio is 20%, and after the rebate the effective maker fee is 0.016% and the effective taker fee is 0.04%. These three sentences are fixed and unrelated to price direction; longs and shorts both have to factor them in.
